I have no trouble confronting those I encounter if I witness abuse or discrimination. I get loud, fast. I want to draw attention - and it works. Folks get angry, they threaten, they yell back ... I stand my ground.

I wish that people could understand that what we call race is just a social construct, and that social construct has harmed all of the groups that it created, albeit in differing degrees and ways. Until we learn that, we'll continue to have to push back.

The harsh reality of not being a majority skin tone in the near future freaks a whole lot of white folks out. EZ for the fear mongers to feed gloom & doom. Even the bible-thumpers get in on the act. Folks attending those carnival sideshows want to be fed that BS, the same as those watching NASCAR want to see wrecks.
In all the places I've lived in life, the worst neighbors have always been white.

Capt Gregory Prickett: Powerful question that makes people squirm because they know the truth but aren't willing to admit it. My answer: I'm not willing to accept it for others. And it's why it gets called out in my office, in the court, etc.
