Okay I have found my Christmas present. This book may be totally boring to almost all of you. My ancestors fought with Battery E, 1st RI Light Artillery. This book is long out of print, I doubt I would ever find a copy. I clicked on the link on the side of the image on google books for "Get this book in print," thinking yeah right. Last printed in 1883 or something like that. I was taken to Abe Books, and it lists the book as being available in both modern Soft and Hard Cover copies printed in 2017! Wahoo. So if you know of some old book of a military unit of the past, that you want some history on, you may be able to get it now. I am excited!
