Pelosi is attempting to play hardball because it is election season and the entire House is up for a decision in November. It is her belief that "standing up to Trump" is better for her political position than passing a compromise. Any second-guessing of that stance gets the gimlet eye.
Personally, I would question the need for such an enormous package considering how the recovery is going.

I would agree with you, Top. As I observe the entire situation, I feel that the subjects that she says she knows so well would take any relief at this point rather than her waiting for the Cadillac package she wants to pass.

Pelosi is crazy. If she doesn’t get child care etc the people don’t get food. Well let them eat cake! The optics suck!

She seems to want it her way or no way. Not taking sides, but I think folks would settle for part of a deal vice NO deal. It doesn't affect her so she can hold out in perpetuity.
