Always thought one needed to be convicted by a court of a federal crime before a pardon could be issued. Trumps biggest problems are at the state level which means that such a pardon will have no impact.

Nope , look up Bill Clinton’s pardon of Marc Rich. Rich wasn’t even indicted when Marc’s ex wife, Denise,a very attractive lady, had a private meeting with Clinton. After the pardon there was a large donation to the Clinton library. Oh, Eric Holder engineered the pardoned!
