While I see the value of maneuvering through the complex workings of DC I would have preferred one of our own who has had to deal with the VA.

Unexpected pic but hearing from those who know him that he has long demonstrated a commitment to servicemembers.and veterans. He also has the personal trust of Biden which will be important. He can bring attention of senior leaders to VA. And hopefully he'll be more transparent. and work better with VSOs.
