Very true. The advantage space has over earth based solar attempts is uninterrupted access to the radiant light that is required. This allows them to operate in space with the battery technology we have today. Introduction of solar and wind energy to our grid is much more complicated because we use the electric grid, and time lags in it, basically as a battery. Some scientists say we can introduce a little over 60% of renewable energy into our electric grid before it becomes unstable. I personally believe that number is closer to 40 to 50%. MHO

SFC (Join to see) I agree with you because to eliminate panic the public is not informed, we just vegan to see amazing projects rise up suddenly, although they have been in the lab forty years.

PO3 Phyllis Maynard - So true. I remember watching shows like Star Track and Space 1990, with much of the technology that has come true. One of my favorite funnies was Dick Tracy who had the wrist watch he could speak to others with… truly amazing some of the devises we have today.
