Too bad Mayors didn’t do that when rioting and looting was happening. Wonder what the difference is?

Idiot! These people have taken over the capital. Its an attempted couple. Its sad and its time to decide where fools like you stand. Its either with the USA or Trump and his traitorous ilk.

I watched as thecAmercan flag was removed and thrown to the ground to be replaced by a Trump flag.

...where is everyone getting the narrative that the National Guard wasn’t activated for the protests/riots over the summer? Are y’all really that disconnected?

SSG (Join to see) I’m in the PA Guard. I wouldn’t want guardsmen from another state patrolling Pittsburgh arbitrarily because someone says they should. It muddies the purpose and the philosophical intent of the National Guard and creates weird legal standing. Natural disaster? Fire? Sure, send everyone who can go. But when it takes on the veneer of a law enforcement mission, state lines should matter a bit more.

SFC Thomas Foreman I can respect that logic.

Side note, I lived in PA most my life, lived in Pittsburgh the last 8 years before moving to Ohio... I wouldn't want to patrol some of the areas there... LOL

"The mayor said that the Ohio National Guard is just one of the forces brought into the District of Columbia without her knowledge and not at her request."

That's from your article. She has every right to exclude all NG that are not DC National Guard that she never requested.

I haven't seen anything that says she didn't want any Guard troops ever.

I saw this after that spectacle Trump made in DC when he matched to that church:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/http://www.military.com/daily-news/2020/06/02/active-duty-troops-not-welcome-dc-mayor-says.html/amp

And she was right then what she said.

SFC (Join to see) I am not sure your point here... this is what I've been saying. The National Guard was not welcome in DC for earlier protest, but now are .... I never said they were not there... I never said she requested them.... I never said she didn't have the right to say it.... all I said is they were not welcome for "peaceful protest" before and now are....
