Massive List of 70+ Open Source Music Production Tools

In my spare time, I like to write music. Nothing for public. Just for my own satisfaction.
The problem with making music is that everything is darned expensive. Mics are $100+, monitors are $300+, guitars are $750+, and even the software costs a ton - Ableton is $700, most software synths are $200, and so on.

This has led me to pursue a path most casual music producers don't take: use free music tools. I've switched to Linux and opted for open source music production software, including free editors, synthesizers, sequencers, and workstations.

I know there might be others who share the same inclinations, so I'm sharing the link that helped me first discover free music production. Hope it helps some others too!
