The Jesuits and the Catholic Church believe Mary is Queen of Heaven and works are part of redemption. Plus, Jesus was not mention. So, that prayer may have been to any god.
Perhaps, it could have been addressed to anyone who thinks themselves a god or anyone who worships a fence post as god.

The Old Testament was moving towards redemption. Christ. The New Testament looks back at our redemption through repentance.

LOL, first, that's nowhere close to what the Roman Church believe. Second, why would I take the word of a heretic as to the beliefs of another church? The theology of the Roman Church is much closer to being accurate than yours.
