Three things:
1. Mobs should not be allowed to make death threats and run rampant over our Capitol, looting and defacating.
2. The Guard can be armed, be a deterrent and show restraint all at the same time.
3. Police officers getting beaten and killed is very a bad thing.

Yep, I remember as well. Some over zealous National Guard troops shot and killed peaceful, unarmed college kids. No one seems to have a problem with police shooting unarmed black men because they "didn't comply." Did the insurrectionists at the Capitol comply?

As always, I'm a little confused by the attached memo in the report detailing DCNG support. It says nothing about the "augmented" National Guard members. What do they do? Didn't they have weapons? I'm confused with the totality of support requested and was actually there.
