Veterans House Democrats aim to use coronavirus relief package to end GI Bill loophole

A measure included in the coronavirus relief package now being debated by Congress would reclassify how GI Bill money is counted. Right now, for-profit schools must collect at least 10 percent of their revenue from non-federal sources. Personally I believe 10% is too low but any protection is better than none at all.

If they want to debate, fine. This, however, is unrelated to Covid and should not be in a covid relief package

I agree 100%. The fact is politicians are always politicians and try to jam good and bad ideas together, sometimes to pass a law that isn’t so great. If these political elite are going to use these actions regardless of what we believe, or is right, we might as well look at them and remember their names if for nothing else, the next election. MHO

This is a practice I have never liked, but is done all the time from both sides. This case seems to be a good step to further help Veterans. I wonder if it would have passed on it's own.
