One problem with this one in the story - the police lied.

Have we all without warrant been praising the police?

CPT (Join to see) Shortly after 9/11, the police were getting praised from all sorts of unlikely places for responding so selflessly into the dangers of the disaster to do whatever they could for those trapped in the burning buildings. Up to that time, the police were not the most popular people anywhere. Suddenly everyone loves them, everywhere. It's been a long costly road for them to receive the the respect they greatly deserve. Now, many will be faced with either upholding the Constitution, or going along with changes brought to the forefront by a group of politicians with an agenda to remove the Constitution without legally seeking to do so through the ammendment process. Using the excuse they are following the law will not work. For all their past efforts the respect they have gained will be lost.
