And agent orange didn’t cause cancer either.

Until it did.

I wonder if monsanto did that study also. I'm sure the revolving door between the FDA and monsanto hasn't been closed yet.

I'm leaning towards those nerve agent pills. I didn't take them and (to the best of my knowledge) I don't have Gulf War illness. Other soldiers that I talked to in the past had taken them and had some or many of the symptoms that other soldiers were complaining about. I don't know if those pills caused it, were a catalyst for it, or if they even had anything to do with it.

Well it is uranium thus its radioactive. It will decay into Thorium then into Protactinium. Protactinium-234 requires the same handling requirements as plutonium. Does it cause Gulf War illness. Probably not but it can cause cancer and mess with your brain, kidneys, blood and who knows what else. Of course if you breath any DU dust in its not going to help.

I will follow up on my linked Quora space with the exact references I mention in the piece. I think a direct link to the two BMJ pages may send you to a paywall, but I will try that first.

Finally, no one has tried to cover up anything. The response of a propagandist or willing liar has always been that the truth teller is the one covering it up. That is what the professional liars did when this report was published. This was the first ever study of birth defects in Iraq, where the liars continue to claim exceptional increase in birth defects since the Gulf War and Operation Iraqi Freedom especially in Fallujah where depleted uranium never was used by US forces in either of the two extensive battles that killed so many US Marines. http://www.emro.who.int/images/stories/iraq/documents/Congenital_birth_defects_report.pdf

Lt Col Roger Helbig - I will repeat this again…
DU is a toxic metal.
It is radioactive.
DU can pass the blood-brain barrier.
Whatever the mechanism, inhaled DU appears to have a pulmonary half-life of about 4 years [8]. Once absorbed uranium is widely distributed throughout the body. Bone acts as a reservoir for the metal and once environmental uranium exposure has stopped it will be released from the bone for months or years to come. Elimination is principally through the urine making the kidney particularly vulnerable to damage from uranium and high levels of uranium accumulate in renal tissue. source NIH.

The reason why you see studies saying DU does not cause problems is there are large populations of civilians along with military that were exposed to this toxic metal and admitting it causes problems opens up the avenue of huge claims. Better wait till they all die. And oh by the way military firing ranges have to be cleaned up as the shell casings and bullets have contaminated the area.

SGT (Join to see) - I got into this because a leading American liar lied about me - you are locked into the liar's game and no one other than the liars has ever been triying ro deceive anyone. My degree is in Geology and way back in 1973, I learned all about nuclear fallout and how to predict, detect and protect against it. I was in that in the AZ ANG and AF Reserve as an IMA from 1974 through about 1984 and I learned more about fallout. I have a fair knowledge of chemistry too and I have been beaten up by the liars. You had reason to be concerned if you were ever actually exposed to DU, but the reason for all the concern was the Iraqi propaganda that is still be carried on all over the internet. Read all of the posts I made today.
