Pentagon chief urges immediate reduction in Taliban violence

"said Friday that progress toward peace in Afghanistan and an end to U.S. military involvement there depends on the Taliban reducing attacks. He said, right now, “clearly the violence is too high.”

... So the goal is really the same as it's always been. At least 30 of them failed their recent bomb making class so I do see some progress being made. Maybe if we can get more of them to fail class others will choose a different path in life.

Darn, after all these years you would think someone would have thought of that. Wave the fricken white flag and do as Russia did. That was my opinion long ago. They don’t want us there.

How simple....“Urge them to stop”. .. .. should have tried this 20 years ago. How would that conversation go?... “Come on man...you guys stop shooting so we can leave and look like we won”.
