Things like this happen in Korea when young troops meet and become sorry for an unhappy bar girl (prostitute). Had one where a young troop helped a bar girl run away, then did the right thing by buying her ID cards back from the bar owner for somewhere around $4,500 (he borrowed some of the money from his folks), thereby legally freeing her from her obligation. She took a bus back home, where her father, who had sold her papers (and basically her) to the bar owner in the first place, said she was now a dirty woman and could not come home. He dragged her back to Tongducheon and sold her to the same bar owner a second time.

The article reads he stated he was helping them escape.
I suspect, at first he was just looking for a drink and nice company. But add booze and women to deployed men and what could go wrong?
What this article does not read, is this type of situation happens all over the world outside of America. I am not defending this fellow. All I am writing, is this stuff has been happening for over 4000yrs. In one way, or another. It is not how it should be. I do not know the answer other than strict regulation by government. If government is not bribed. Then, there is that.
