NEW one-time benefit for vets who have lost jobs to COVID. One-year in-demand skills retraining with a generous housing allowance. Also FINALLY passed protections for student veterans from predatory schools. Both JUST signed into law by President Biden last night. I'm surprised this got through, then again, what got through with it is a deeper question. I am suspicious.

Why are you suspicious? It's public record what was included in the bill. Veterans orgs have been pushing hard for these changes and have been top priorities for IAVA. However the new benefit is very recent and under the radar for most.
