Violence is out of control in Portland. Maybe defunding police wasn’t such a great idea.

What defunding? Protesters wanted $50 million cut from the Portland Police budget, which didn't happen, and wasn't seriously considered. The police budget was cut by $15 million (from a $244 million budget), or about 6%, the same as other city services were cut due to a tax revenue shortfall from COVID-19. If you want to look at cuts, look to Los Angeles, where the cut was reportedly 15% of a $1 billion budget.

But...but they are living the dream, right?
