US Capitol attack: One officer dead as man wielding knife attacks US Capitol Police

I guess some people feel they have permission to attack the Capitol and the Capitol Police. In the grand scheme of things this is nothing new. In the 90s, on a day I was visiting the Capitol building, two Capitol Police officers were shot and killed. A few years ago a woman driving in an erratic manner was shot and killed by Capitol officers.

Is this what we have been reduced to?
