Seems 1984 is right around the corner. If a public figure that is popular at the moment takes a wrong stance, no problem, their wrong position or statement is simple rewritten to improve their standing and hurt their critics.

Good morning, sir. I agree with you. Seems the job of the sort of hero in 1984 to was to review newspaper articles and re-structure them to fit the current narrative.
