On May 4, 1535, five Carthusian monks from the London Charterhouse monastery were hanged, drawn, and quartered at Tyburn, London, for refusing to acknowledge Henry VIII as head of the Church of England.

One of the reasons that I often scoff when folks talk about Christianity being so benealvant compared to other religions.

This had nothing to do with Christianity and more to do with the ego and power hungry king who killed thousands.
