Frankly I am tired of all this. As I see my country's culture, a culture of individual rights mixed with violent solutions to difficult problems, all at the cost of united community. We actually export this individualism crap to other nations. We do this by inviting people to the US for seminars in the US at US universities. or through the United Nations in Geneva in conferences. In Rio yesterday helicopters acting as gunships fired into a slum where traffickers were located. I saw this several times over the years in Rio. Just like Vietnam for me. (I live near Rio de Janeiro) Yesterday the slums erupted in violence in Rio. The police killed 24 drug traffickers. One policeman was killed making the death tole 25. I do not need to remind anyone these drug traffickers are bad horrible human beings. They out gun the police with superior weapons purchased from US based gun runners. This is true! Soon after the news broke concerning deaths in the slums human rights activists around the world came out of the woodwork telling the world the police murdered these 24 slum dwellers. Not one word about the policeman! Kind of reminds me of the January 6th insurrection where the policemans death seemed to be ignored! These global social cause elite say the police did not recognize the slum dwellers individual rights. Warn you I am a left leaning American who has worked internationally on human rights, but our US concept of rights has gone too far. To solve our problem; let me add if we want to survive as a nation, it is not through domestic and international divisive politics. I am not saying take the guns out of our hands, but I am saying take the guns out of our minds of Americans. Violence is not a solution.

The foundation of society in the US is the Rule of Law. Without the rule of law not one part of society would function without destructive chaos. Our banks would close. Our military would become useless because of lack of discipline. In the WW 2 Soviet Army if a soldier did not get out of his fighting hole to advance he was shot dead. So far this is not part of our military justice system. It could be? We are not a nation of vigilantes. We are not a nation ruled by vigilante justice. We are a nation of laws. As a nation we all strive towards justice for all not just the wealthy. We cannot have policeman handing out justice because they think they are the judge. It is said in Rio de Janeiro the police are as corrupt as the drug traffickers. Save our law US enforcement integrity. Save our courts! Save our police.

I hope the review is a fair one. As I watched the videos from the Police and store owner, I got the impression the perp did not follow the Police orders. For example, stop kicking.
Were the Police injured? What happened to the fake $20.00 used at the store. Is it against the law to use drugs the perp was on?
Anyway, I hope the Police get a fair hearing if it is OK with Maxine Waters.

and i'm glad they are not referred to as "former" cops. that would imply they left the department on their own and without disgrace
