Since the second wave of Covid-19 hit India, the virus has mutated several timed producing variants, like the 'Double Mutant' and the B.1.617, which are spreading faster and more efficiently that multiple virologists from across the globe have warned that these new variants of Covid-19 can be immune to vaccines. The WHO is concerned too.

They don't know yet if they are immune to the vaccines or not or if those who were previously immunized might get a milder form of the disease.

Lt Col Charlie Brown, amazingly, during India's present predicament the Serum Institute has suggested that no need to retake vaccination, even if second shot is 90 days after the first shot, which is inconsistent with medical advice. There is also another unverified suggestion that it doesn't matter that the second shot is different from the first one.
