I'd also add "The Prince" (Machiavelli) because these kinds of people DO exist, and "The Art of War" (Sun Tzu) because it's a philosophical classic.

One of Adm. Grace Hopper used to say was, "You manage things, you lead people". Two different skill sets. Leader ship is fairly easy, you treat people like you want to be treated without regard to any special considerations and most important be accountable for your people and your actions.
