Well, this is a real eye-opener. As a storyteller I've long held a dream of telling children's tales in the spirit of Washington Irving. Like Irving, I studied law but declined to practice it because I found that I had to great an imagination to be a lawyer. I wanted to tell children's tales that taught more republican virtues rather than extolling the virtues of kings and queens, princes and princesses whom I didn't perceive as virtuous. These real life princesses bear no resemblance to Sleeping Beauty or Snow White, do they?
