When I was a CW2 me and then Ist Lt Richard Schwartzman took a week of leave and hiked in the high Serra's. Pup tent. Trying to quit smoking. I had two canteens
One for water and one for gin. Had some meals ready to eat and chocolate bars. Ponchos for the rain. We used a small fishing pole when we wanted fish. Great time. I remember running down the hill at the end and buying two beers and a pack of Olé cigarettes

Beauty abounds in this old world.

I like the Death Valley park... never knew there was beauty in DEATH valley...
