I wonder if the logistics are in place to support this regulation change. Are locticians and braiders that are knowledgeable about the Army-approved dimensions of braids, cornrows, twists or locs employed at the salons on military instillations? I know that these hairstyles can be both professional and culturally affirming if maintained properly.

CORRECTION: Both locticians and braiders are not needed. Just 1 hairdresser can perform braids, cornrows, twists and locs. These styles typically last 2 months. They grow very long over time which may be a source of confidence for the wearer but intimidating for others.
