They are not prioritizing them because to date not a single vaccine of the half dozen out there have passed FDA guidelines. They have emergency approval use but not the final rubber stamp. So companies cannot "require" it for their employees. Oh sure that has been legislation passed that says employers can require it but no company wants to really test that losing proposition in a court of law.

So the standard remains as it was. And is likely to stay that way until such time as the FDA completes its testing.

I was just beginning the onboarding process for my government job when I got my second shot. I let the office "secretary" (her job title, but she basically runs ALL of the admin for the 100 employee office) know because I was SURE it was reportable to someone, somewhere.

She told me that not only wasn't it being tracked, but I shouldn't disclose my personal health info like that.

HIPAA rules are under scrutiny on that front. Having worked in environments in the past where having a quad flu shot (4 strains) plus certification of said shot was required it is most probably not a HIPAA issue. As was already stated I believe the biggest stumbling block will be legal until the FDA has a full certification and the blanket protection for death/injury by immunization of big pharma is dropped.

SSgt (Join to see) - I believe you hit the nail on the head. I could never understand how "anybody" could ask about vaccinations with the HIPAA laws we have.
