More spin. The Texas law, and others, give the state officials the power to override the election board if they don't like the outcome.
That is just one of the terrible aspects of some of these laws.
The entire reason behind all these Republican dirven election law changes is to deprive some voters the vote, or at least make it harder.
We should be going the other direction.

Also, no one can prove any probles with "voter integrity" in any measureable numbers. One or two, here or there, yes. But NOTHING that would effect the outcome of an election. NOTHING!

SPC Randy Z. - Any "frauduits" done by Republicans will not prove anything. They only prove how strong the Trump Cult is. And those laws passed by Republican state legislatures go far beyond verifying ID.

MSG Stan Hutchison - You live in an interesting world. It is trump cult this, frauduits that, you're an idiot that other thing, and nary a positive word. I pity you and your world. You have demonstrated no need, want or desire to investigate for yourself so I do not feel any compunction to answer your rhetoric anymore.

MSG Stan Hutchison - You are correct. I have no concept of how you live BUT I do have a well informed concept of how you deal with conservatives on this site. It has not changed in years.

"You live in an interesting world" is a statement playing off of "May you live in interesting times":
"May you live in interesting times" is an English expression that is claimed to be a translation of a traditional Chinese curse. While seemingly a blessing, the expression is normally used ironically; life is better in "uninteresting times" of peace and tranquility than in "interesting" ones, which are usually times of trouble.

CPT Jack Durish Capt. Jack, you know I'm not sitting on the fence... I'm on the side for Justice that means no one is above the law... that includes 45 & Barr and anyone else who broke the law.
I agree voter integrity is very important... just as enabling as many legal voters are able to vote is. The election process was approved by the States, & Congress. The courts granted one complaint... that a poll watcher in one poll be allowed closer to the process. That was corrected. No other lawuits, more than 60+, were substanciated according to the Courts & were denied & dismissed.
In case anyone is wondering... I'm a moderate Democrat who is having a hard time understanding how the elected Republicans are letting 45 control them... especially after Jan. 6th. Respectully submitted...

Respectfully accepted. Forgive me if I'm a cynic, but I grew up in the land of dirty politics. I witnessed machine politics from the age when I could read a newspaper. I helped pass our campaign literature and drove voters to the polls before I could vote. Anyone who denies the historical occurrences of voting fraud simply are ignorant or have an agenda that will be harmed if they accept it. The lawsuits that were brought were flawed and recounts were of no use if they were counting fraudulent ballots. Only now are a few states becoming interested in looking at the validity of the ballots themselves and the results in those few places are inspiring more interest in others. Thus, the ultimate verdict is far from settled. Personally, I am neither a Republican nor a Democrat, and I fail to see how President Trump is misleading anyone. Most Republican Party officials have been distancing themselves from President Trump since he first won the candidacy. Personally, I don't think he is a very good politician but I like what he accomplished ever more with every attempt by the Biden Administration to undo it (resulting in one disaster after another). I won't belabor the specifics beyond mentioning the peace accords that his Administration brokered in the Middle East and are now being rendered null, or the attacks on the oil and gas industry by the Biden Administration that has reduced America to oil dependency once again.

CPT Jack Durish - I'm not denying major voter fraud "back in the day". My Daddy was a Republican Precinct Committeeman in the 50's & 60's... his job was to pass out 1/2 pints to those who voted correctly. Voter fraud may still exist in mynute areas... but none was brought forward to the Courts and validated in the 2020 election. Also, Republicans continued to win in areas where 45 lost under laws that were approved by Republicans... which is correct?
Thanks for your civil & respectful comments... I honor your right to your opinion... whether I agree with it or not. Lol...

I live in Pa. where our Governor allowed voting with basically no oversight, it allowed ballot harvesting, unsecured drop box’s, and a bunch of other stuff that should be illegal. Voting is too important for any drop box’s: they need to be stopped. There are good methods for absentee ballots, they need to be used. Governor Wolf abused his power, this is why Biden won our state. Wolf was stupid enough to say in public: Trump would never win the state; he made sure of that. The SCOTUS would not hear the case because if they did Pa. would have had an illegal election… and what do you do with that? The people would have gone crazy. There is no rule of law anymore when the highest court in the land won’t hear a case that they have jurisdiction over. Even although it would have created mass confusion it was the responsibility of the SCOTUS to step in a preserve the integrity of the election. As it is now: No one is willing to believe the outcome of anything because Governor Wolf basically allowed voting with no rules. Not just MHO.
