The enemy doesn't see color when shooting at us all he sees is Americans as his enemy. Fighting Americans have each others back and protects each other no matter what color they are.

And that is the way it is supposed to be. But I've seen spanish and blacks get screwed because of the color of their skin. Anyone who says that the training to stop this just wants bad things to continue.

Granted. But how far can one go when teaching recruits and getting them to comply and become part of a team. You can only mollycoddle them just so much trying to get them in shape in showing them how to protect themselves and each other. I'm for one thats grateful for my TI in basic. The TI I had was white and his assistant was black. My flight was a mixed group that came from southern California.

People on the left say that they want a color-blind society until we try to give them one. It seems that in today's world, a criminal is a criminal only if he is a white male, if the criminal is anything else then he has a reason that his offense should be overlooked, or the police were influenced by something other than the fact the person broke the law.
ALMOST, and notice that I said ALMOST, every incident that has resulted in a person losing their life to a police bullet was precipitated by some arrest-able offense and the person resisting arrest. No one protests the shooting of a white male that was resisting arrest. Nor do we hear of the shooting of suspects that just accept that they are caught.

My question is this... IF you resist arrest you are going to invoke a forceful response from Police, so WHY RESIST? Why fight? this will result in a forceful compliance technique being used by Police.
Drugs are against the law, selling untaxed Cigarettes are against the law, strong arm robbery is against the law, passing counterfeit currency is against the law... What part of this is not clear?
IF the vast vast majority of those that have been killed while resisting arrest had NOT been resisting arrest then they would be alive today.

Yes, Black lives DO matter, they matter as much as all human lives and American citizen lives, and no excuse can hold water for those wrongly killed, and we do need to hold the police to a higher standard. With this being said, we need to see crime as color blind as well. A career criminal who resists arrest and has outstanding warrants is going to evoke a response from Law Enforcement that they will not like. Remember if the police have to chase and fight you, they are bringing a butt-kicking with them.

We should just all OBEY THE LAW, and I bet we will see the number of people beaten down and/or terminated by the Police drop accordingly.

SrA John Monette - IN the George Floyd arrest, you're forgetting that HE was handcuffed and sitting in the back seat of the squad car with the AC on plus, both windows were open and he was already complaining that he could not breathe. THEN George Floyd started fighting the police officers, where because of the size of Floyd, it took three officers to take him to the ground after the resisted in the back seat. So you're the PO in the situation, where to you "start to believe" the suspect when he is telling you the truth or lying? You make the situation appear so black and white in that it is right or wrong. You have a background of security so you should know of the difficulties in detaining a suspect, but have you actually arrested a suspect where they struggle with you from the moment go. If not, then I suggest holding off critical review until you see the full picture. Just my opinion.

CSM Bob Stanek - It used to be, "The cuffs are too tight. I can't feel my arms." My reply was the same. "They're new. They'll stretch out out with more use." "I can't breathe" is the new ploy all the bad guys use. That translates to "uncuff me and let me go 'cause I didn do nuffin'."

Sgt (Join to see) - I love that reply of "They're new. They'll stretch out out with more use." I'll have to remember that if I get the opportunity with a comment similar or IF I ACCIDENTLY put the cuffs on too tight or GOD FORBID, that I actually forget to lock the cuffs before putting them in the cruiser so they don't self tighten when suspects struggle in them...
