Never underestimate your enemy. I hope his analysis is accurate. The next war won’t be like the last.

China has 4 times the workforce that we do. Plus, they appear to not be bothered unleashing a Bio weapon.
I hope our General is correct.

China still has lots of problems. Vietnam's Militia, did I mention militia, and not their actual army kicked China's butt in 79. They have no idea how to fight other than mass frontal attack.

Did I mention the Taliban ground us down to basically a stalemate?

The taliban didn’t exactly grind us down. For a lot of reasons, we intentionally handcuffed ourselves with silly policies and ROEs that inhibited our ability fully engage them.

If we had had one or two fighting seasons where we were allowed to go to Chaman, Quetta and Pesh, things probably would have turned out differently.

SGT (Join to see) - Exactly my point and the big problem I have,we could of but didn’t. The three big excuses, would’ve yes you would’ve but didn’t, could’ve yes you could’ve but didn’t, should’ve but didn’t. I think you get more people killed tying hands etc. If you loose the dogs f war release them. War is cruel,

So is your point that the Taliban ground us down to a stalemate or that decades of our own lousy policies and ROEs were essentially self defeating?

Because those are two really different points.
