Air Force fighter pilot punished, suspended from flying for refusing to wear COVID mask

Im sorry but how does having to wear a mask violate religious beliefs? I understand about vaccines for religious exemption but a mask really? Doesn't a pilot have to wear a oxygen mask when they fly anyway?

Which version of the bible has "face mask" written in it as a prohibition? I've read a few different versions of the bible, and not once do the words "vaccine" or "face mask" appear in any of them.

It IS interesting to note, however, that the bible DOES prohibit wearing clothing of mixed fabrics (which includes every uniform we have) and he doesn't seem to mind that though...

The letter simply spins the scenario into meeting one criterion. Bottom line is science goes both ways as does the mask. While it may not defend the wearer, it limits what one expresses out of their own. As for the mask, they reference typical off the shelf not meeting scientific requirements, then he simply wears and issues N95/Surgical. In any case this likely goes nowhere and he remains grounded. It’s a shame considering what it costs to train and sustain a pilot.

I am glad the military is standings its ground, way too many other changes that are already placing us on shaky ground, caving to this would add to the already litany of issues that will affect readiness, and discipline.

Although I am sure someone in government (Congress) will attempt to make an end around.
