Try to stay away from the hype of the media on stuff like this and only listen to the true experts, not anyone that will talk on a microphone. People who will speculate publicly about professional work like this are a bane to society.

Interesting, I disagree with the comments other professionals posted on this site. In my opinion they offer narrow opinions about items that may, or may not, be true and then try to hang their hat about the building failure on a narrow opinion.
I remember that day vividly. I was in the small town of Shohola, not too far from NYC, meeting with local officials about the replacement of a bridge over the Delaware River. A secretary came into our meeting about plane number 1 impact on the tower and we all huddled around the TV in time to see the second impact. My now departed friend was there (who is the most knowledgeable structural engineer I know), he turned to me and said “one hour”, I responded “one half hour”. No other words we spoken we each knew we were speaking about the collapse of the tower. Dave was right, I believe it was actually a little over an hour that the tower collapsed.
Opinions are like rear ends; everyone has one regardless of the actual experience they have. All I can say is Dave and I are satisfied the towers collapsed the way they should under the conditions. Looking at this site it appears they are hyping up a movie being made… enough for me, maybe everyone looks for their 15 seconds of fame. MHO
