Evolution is an important concept but we have significant learning on the intermediate fossils and timelines of development of 'where we came from'.

The theory of evolution by natural selection is an established fact, and there is no issue with "intermediate" fossils or timelines. Religion and the Bible are not incompatible, many Christian sects and their members accept the fact of evolution, such as Dobzhansky, an American, a member of the Russian Orthodox Church, and a genetics expert.

Capt Gregory Prickett Not trying to cause a Scopes trial with my intermediate fossils comment. I agree that Evolution and natural selection are the current scientific theories. I hope science will continue to improve as no one has been able to do the first part of what Darwin's theory requires. What is the Origin of Life, that is what starts the creation of life from lifeless organic compounds? Darwin's natural selection does not attempt to resolve this obvious problem. Darwin just assumes life somehow comes into existence. https://www.history.com/topics/roaring-twenties/scopes-trial?li_source=LI&li_medium=m2m-rcw-history
The Scopes Trial, also known as the Scopes Monkey Trial, was the 1925 prosecution of science teacher John Scopes for teaching evolution in a Tennessee public

LTC John Shaw - My response was also meant for "Grumpy Cat" Kermon, not just for you, and I agree that we don't know how life started on earth. We do know that it is possible for life to form from non-life, but we don't know how it happened on this planet. My position is that we don't replace "I don't know" with "god did it" unless there is actual evidence to that effect.
I'll also point out that it is a misnomer to call evolution "Darwin's theory" or "Darwinism." Yes, he started it, but a lot of what he thought was wrong, and science has gone far past his original hypothesis. Darwin also did not opine on the origin of life, just what happened once life existed.

Misconceptions about evolution
Unfortunately, many people have persistent misconceptions about evolution. Some are simple misunderstandingsideas that develop in the course of learning about evolution, possibly from school experiences and/or the media. Other misconceptions may stem from purposeful attempts to misrepresent evolution and undermine the public's understanding of this topic.
