MAJ Byron Oyler - I have read the histories, have you Both Russian and The UK used chemical weapons and slaughtered whole villages it does not work. And China has piss-poor record militarily outside of anywhere that was ever part of China. When you use mustard gas on farming villeinage like the Brits did between the two World Wars there is not much more brutality even possible.

China is the dictator Afghanistan needs but really does not want. Chinese will do in Afghanistan what everyone else was afraid to do, they will kill the elders, school the youth to how they want them to believe, and then bring the sweatshops in to make Nike richer. It will not be fun for the Afghans or the Taliban and the Chinese government will never allow the West to know of the reign of death they bring to get the minerals and cheap labor. The Taliban might even open dialog with the us if they have the ability to communicate and request our assistance. It will be too late and we will get our lithium from Afghanistan via the Chinese.
