One of the reasons I stopped halfway through My senior year 16 hours short of a degree. Oh, Engineers don't get OT.

I got OT when I was a designer; it wasn’t until I became a manager when I didn’t get any. I can’t complain, there are worse ways to bake a living… there are done better ways. If I had to do it over again maybe a lawyer of a Financial advisor.

Rare to see the engineers charged with anything like negligence or wrongful death. This is important work of infrastructure and maintenance of the infrastructure.

You hit that right sir! I remember when I was a young bridge engineer and were were rebuilding I-81 in the vicinity of the 81/380/84 split, the engineering firm the designed the original Bunker Hill Bridges celebrated when we tore them down. The floor beams in the bridges were under sized and we had to call for oversized trucks to occupy 2 lanes to reduce the stresses. When we tore those bridges out they were absolved of a huge responsibility.
