For John, Josh, and Joe, more people disapprove of DeSantis than approve of him. When that happens, you normally don't get re-elected.

Well, he made a decision. But, if I know my Florida brethren, a lot of them didn’t take part in this poll.

Only Democrats think that. The article states the poll was conducted by St Pete polls using an automatic phone system.
1) There is a problem with relying on polls based from automatic phone systems, most people are smart enough not to answer calls from numbers they don't recognize. What does that say about the people who responded to the polls and their political beliefs?
2) If you know anything about Florida, you would know that St Petersburg is in one of the bluest counties. This is the same County that Crist was elected as a House Representative.
3) DeSantis is more popular than Scott was and Scott beat Crist in the Senate race. Crist has changed his political party a couple of times including being a Republican and an Independent. In short, most Floridians don't trust him
4) In 2018, DeSantis ran against Gillum who was very popular with Democrats and received backing from billionaires Soros and Steyer. Guess who won.
