Israel’s Ministry of Defense announced Monday that the U.S. Army has completed its first successful live-fire test using the Iron Dome missile defense system.
The United States purchased two Iron Dome batteries during the administration of former President Donald Trump.
“The US Army, the Israel Missile Defense Organization (IMDO) and RAFAEL have successfully completed a live fire test of the first US Army Iron Dome Defense System (IDDS-A) Battery, which the U.S. acquired from Israel,” Israel’s Ministry of Defense tweeted.

“The performance and live fire test was conducted at the White Sands New Mexico (WSMR) test range, and was the first time US soldiers intercepted live targets employing the Iron Dome System,” the government account added.

God I miss Trump, he had a sixth sense about him that just made things work out right, to bad the new inhabitant in the WH doesn't have any sense.

Not all of us feel the same way about him. Biden would not be worrying about evacuations if somebody hadn't "made a deal," with the Taliban.

MSgt Dale Johnson - Maybe Trump and his deals has finally caught up with us. Please don't mistake me for Donkey or an Elephant, both sides IMHO would sell their mother for the right amount of money. It doesn't matter, in the end we have a lot dead, a lot of debt, and fingers to point from both sides and the Taliban is still there. Could we point this at Bush because we went into Iraq and left Afghanistan to lightly defended to keep the Taliban from coming back? We can point till were blue in the face, but both sides screwed this up.

The Israeli's have continued to build quality products, but Iron Dome has been exposed by this summers attacks by Hamas. Small Kite born systems have been able to cause extensive damage in Israeli agricultural areas. This will have to be contended with a smaller system.

Unlike Israel, we don't have enemies on our borders... those small systems won't reach us.
