I was assigned to Ft. McPherson, GA for a few months back in '68 before going to Vietnam. I would drive into Atlanta on most any afternoon and go to a Club where he was performing. Going early, I often got to watch him practicing. Very entertaining. Especially when he and the band would get to clowning around.
