LTC Kevin B. - Sir, SSgt Barrows outlined the fraud. To which you tritely replied that he knew it was wrong to use the tag and stop arguing. And threatened censorship if he argued.

I am not trying to get into a pissing match here. But what it looks like to me as an outsider looking in is that you started a pissing match with him, and used your big "admin" status to win.

Just what it looks like to me.

Respectfully, I am trying to figure out HOW I am supposed to know this was the wrong tag to use. The Topics page (About) for Fraud is blank. So, I used it as defined in most every dictionary. No pissing match here. I am 100% flummoxed by the Admin response on this.

How to Properly Tag Links and Questions
Proper Tags help organize our RallyPoint community. They are essential to help our members find the content they're looking for and link similar discussions. When a tag is applied, the people in that group will see it. A good tag means the right people on RallyPoint are seeing the content they want to see, or are the experts able to best crowdsource an answer.

Guidelines for creating and editing tags:

1. Each Question or Link must have at least one tag, and up to five.

2. RallyPoint has a database of thousands of tags. When starting to type a tag, try to use existing tags by selecting them first from the dropdown menu.

3. If we are missing a tag, you may create your own tag. If enough people create the same tag, then RallyPoint will accept that into our system as a formal tag.

4. Do not use special characters like # or @

5. Do not tag all branches of service, ranks, or deployments in a post. If the content applies to everybody on RallyPoint, then everybody will see it anyway. Instead, tag it with more specific topics to help others find it. Remember, just because something may apply to everyone in a service branch, does not mean the subject of your post is explicitly about that branch.

6. Do not tag discussions and links with topics because you are part of those groups. For example, if you are an OIF veteran, an Army reserve Captain and Infantry, please do not tag your discussion with "Veteran," "OIF," "CPT," "Army Reserve" and "11A: Infantry Officer."

7. Only tag content with topics that are specific to your post (e.x. do not tag a discussion explicitly about sports with "jobs") and please do not use tags to reach members who you feel should see your post (i.e Using the "OIF" tag a post about a presidential candidate). By abusing the tagging system this way, you are deciding what you feel members should see and not allowing members to see what they have chosen to see based on the groups they've elected to follow.

User's posting rights will be restricted if the tagging system is abused. The following actions may be taken if repeated violations of the tagging policy occur:
* Email warnings
* Closing of discussion or link
* Restrictions or locks placed on the account including suspension
* Reduction of 5,000 influence points
* Reduction of 10,000 influence points
* Reduction of 25,000 influence points
* Reduction of required number of influence points to limit posting privileges

SFC Casey O'Mally - Keep in mind that you aren't aware of my previous interactions with him, specifically on the topic of proper tagging, that shaped my response. When people try to misuse tags for political reasons (I can't even count the number of times I have removed the Treason tag from political posts), we move that content to more appropriate locations on the website. And, if they continue to misuse the tags, further steps can be taken, including the removal of the post or the suspension of the member. We try to handle things at the lowest level, but some members continue to push the envelope because they want to post whatever they want, wherever they want.

He made a comparison about American deaths.
It doesn't make sense to compare American COVID deaths against international war deaths. He compared apples to apples. If he did what you suggested, then it would be a false equivalence because he would have been using different data sets as his variables.

In this instance, his speech writers did a bit more QA than you did.

SSgt (Join to see) - relax killer, some of us all have lives outside of Rallypoint.
Since you keep repeating the same thing over again, I'm not sure how many times you need me to repeat this.
He compared American deaths to American deaths. That is apples to apples.
You're upset that he didn't compare American COVID deaths against war deaths of ALL nations. That is apples to oranges.
If Americans are your data set for variable A, then they must be your data set for Variable B as well if the goal is for an equivalent comparison.
You keep demanding that he change his variables for comparison, which is the wrong thing to do.

SFC Michael Hasbun -
Fact 1) I compared American deaths to American deaths. Your first point is invalid.
Fact 2) I never said anything to even hint at comparing American to world deaths - either in war or covid. In fact, what I said at the world level was "These are the deaths the USA suffered and does not include the 15,000,000 to 22,000,000 total deaths of WW I, the 70,000,000 to 85,000,000 total deaths of WW II, or the 333,620–392,364 deaths in Vietnam. Makes this also false, even when compared to total covid deaths for the entire planet.". This makes your 2nd point a WAG on your part and shows a lack of reading comprehension.
Fact 3) A repeat of fact 1. I DID use American deaths compared to American deaths.

I honestly cannot even wrap my head around your response. It is made in a vacuum. And yes - I have seen the memes comparing Biden's card to world level deaths in the wars. Do you see that meme anywhere around here? Or is that what you are responding to ASSUMING that is my source?
