It is strange of Canada wasn't consulted. We do know that Canada does not put 2% of GDP towards defense. I live in Canada, I thought you would like to hear the Canadian point of view.

Hardly comparable. Canada really has no specific interests in the areas of this pact.

This happens all the time. Nations get left out all the time. Even the US has been left out of alliances and pacts (either defense or trade in nature) by our allies.
