Very interesting but we've all seen programs and studies like this come and go. Sometimes they are worthwhile but more often than not they're worthless. The problem with concepts such as ABMS is that other services don't want to give up anything. Air Force Magazine had an article about the problems with stand up of Space Command that traces back to the same issues.

There's a lot of articles lately reporting on Airforce changes, program changes, mission reevaluation, platform deactivations... it seems the Air Force is really trying to identify itself and define or possibly redefine its mission. That's a bit worrisome. I agree they should always be reevaluating their capabilities. However, they should always have focus on their core tenements. I hope they're not losing sites on their core missions and just fixing erroneous decisions of the past. Thanks for the post.
