1. They never made it to the inspection lanes.

2. It's not the first time Mexican Soldiers have ventured this close or into US territory. They have on numerous occasions gone into Sunland Park near the landfill there and like this time they were quickly intercepted and the matter resolved. According to our neighbors across the river these were recruits sent to Juarez with no knowledge of the area SSgt (Verfiy to see) so correctly pointed out. Heck I got turned around and almost crossed into Mexico after coming home form a trap shoot with guns and ammo in the car. Needless to say I did a u-turn where it was impossible to do so but I got it done.

I haven't read the article, I'm just going to guess the rest of the story based on headlines and previous administation actions.

... And then released in Missouri with a court date and all their gear?

I mean, I know the administration would normally have a problem with their guns, but since they were here "erroneously" and "aren't planning to stay long," THOSE guns should be fine.
