Do you think? China--brash and emboldened--is about to pull the trigger on Taiwan. When they do, they will suffer the wrath of the free world leading to a humbling (i.e., humiliating) military defeat--a defeat that only their "first use" of nuclear weapons could forestall.

"Land of the free; home of the brave" can leave an ally in the breach? Too bad our civilian leadership doesn't live up to those particular ideals. China is going to have to be dealt with. Sooner is hard; later is harder.

I don't know.... Let's just hope China chooses to stand down... I for one don't want to find out if they will push the button or not.... I'm not so sure America would get involved, I have been reading and reading and reading, but just don't know. We stood down when Russia invaded the Crimea and we were under treaty to help them. Japan and Taiwan are friends, but not allies, South Korea and Taiwan are allies. I don't believe America is under any type treaty whatsoever to help Taiwan.... Someone please correct me if I am wrong... Taiwan is a huge trading partner of the USA... Other thoughts????
