It's inaccurate, but it's inaccurate in our favor. Taking Soldiers to the BodPods or doing the caliper test usually results in a HIGHER body fat percentage, not lower.

It's not in female's favor the tape test. If we have big hips - even if we're muscular - we're fucked. I've seen women who are pure muscle fail weight and tape solely because they have big hips.

This is why I go to damn extremes every time there's height weight since my daughter. It's harder to keep weight off and I don't want to fail tape having hips and an ass. And I've been measured an inch shorter than I am so I get down below that max weight just in case.

SFC (Join to see) I remember showing up for a height and weight before promotion only to find I had shrunken 2 inches and was now overweight. So yea there has to be a better way

SGT (Join to see) - I'm 5'10". I've been 5'10" since I was 16. I mean people shrink so maybe I'm 5'9" 1/2 now. I went to SLC - and I was measured 5'9" and I was just at 173 luckily. 5'10" I get 178. When I turn 40 I guess I get to weigh a little more...

Before I gave birth - I never had an issue with weight. I hit a bump when I was about 30 but I just started to eat better and work out more and lost it pretty quickly actually. There's a point I thought I needed to gain weight (that came up in my FB memories). I miss those days...

I feel like I remember several years ago they "studied" updating our weight regulations and then not much came out of that...I hope this comes up with something better.
