If recruitment becomes easy and numbers get high then standards tighten. So you may do what is allowable today but in the future it might be detrimental.

As things become more commonplace, the military has to adapt. I've watched the Navy and Army tattoo policies change many times over the years. 30 years ago tattoo sleeves said "I'm a bad ass". Today, tattoo sleeves say "Would you like soy milk in your capafrapalattecinno?"

Yes, my daughter E-8 Army MP and her husband Army E-7 MP both have sleeves. But then again they are both probably bad asses.

PO2 Russell "Russ" Lincoln - I like my ink. Everything I've had done has meaning for me. I don't just go in and "have something done." I've thought about every single one of them. I've gotten a couple with my daughter. I have a couple in memory of friends and family lost. And when I die, and my daughter has me skinned, I'll make a really cool lamp shade or wall hanger.
