A great summary of the Chess Champion of all time, Garry Kasparov. His views on America, democracy, and the value and hope we bring to the citizens of communist and other authoritarian nations. I would recommend his book, "Winter is Coming" to anyone interested in saving our democratic republic. And no, it has nothing to do with Game of Thrones.

Before the disintegration of the Soviet Union, I read a book called The Russians. It described the Soviet Union was an oligarchy of wealthy factory owners and high ranking governmental leaders. Production was often based on contracts to build things that were not needed. I believe an example was producing bumpers for cars that did not exist. That is how inefficient the market was. After reading the book, I expected the Soviet Union to implode.
