This was just posted about a few months ago. Also why use a Breitbart article?
Either make everyone register or get rid of it. The only reason women have been excluded from registering for Selective Service is due to the combat exclusion policy. Well that's been gone for several years now and women are allowed to and are in combat arms MOS. So make all women 18-26 register like all men have to.
I don't think anyone should be forced into military service. The fact we've had a volunteer force as long as we have - if we need to reinstate the draft we're pretty well fucked. So it's almost pointless by then.
I don't get how people are so opposed to women in the military. We've been in combat the last 20 years and even longer than that. Women have proven we can fight in combat throughout human history. And the whole "WhAt AbOuT iF tHeY gEt CaPtUrEd?" Oh well. That's the risk we take when we join the military. Just like men. It's a moot point - and people need to stop saying that men protect women or put women first because that is entirely untrue in the US.

Exactly! I’m all for getting rid of it completely. It’s hard enough to have to deal with people who join willingly and then decide they don’t want to be in. Can you imagine how awful it would be to have those who don’t want to be in at all? Ugh! No thanks. The draft is outdated and should go away, for everyone. However, if they intend to keep it, females should be included.
You are also correct on the males claiming they would protect females. We all know that’s a lie.
