My entire career was serving on submarines or training submarine sailors. WWII Diesel, SSBNs and SSNs. Zero groundings or undersea collisions. There is more to this than is being reported. Also, don’t understand the COB being relieved, that position has nothing to do with Navigation.

Correct. Something is drastically wrong in our Navy, both surface and submarine. The numbers of COs relieved in the last 15 years or so is astounding. And usually taking the XO and MCPOC with them. Grounding, collisions, fraternization, loss of confidence. Obviously a lowering of standards in the leadership pipeline.
