Outside court on Wednesday, dozens of people cheered as the verdicts were read.

Arbery's father, Marcus Arbery, was seen crying and hugging supporters.

"He didn't do nothing," the father said, "but run and dream."

He also told reporters: "We conquered the lynch mob."...

That whole case was a travesty. Police originally told the Aubury family he had been shot by a homeowner during a burglary. Two DAs refused to prosecute the case and recused themselves. A third passed it on to a grand jury and then recused himself. Only reason the case was prosecuted was a lawyer named Alan Tucker leaked the video to dispel rumors that he said had fueled tension in the community and the Georgia Bureau of Investigations got involved.
