With this ridiculously low bail for violent crimes, it's a good thing Cornwall didn't get elected to the bench. And why was he granted bail with an active felony warrant from Nevada?

All very good questions. This is a simple example of the Left running wild, with their theories of how life should be ran... that just isn't real.

There is a part of the constitution that prohibits excessive bail.. Maybe they are going for an eigth amendment play?

So, if the bail were $2000, or $5000, would this not have happened? On a $1000 bail, th defendant only has to put up 10% in order to walk. And high bails do not always prevent crimes. It's a shame that this idiot made his way out of custody and onto Waukeshau streets, but I don't know that it's fair to blame the court commissioner........

The point is Mr. Brooks has a rap sheer 30 pages long and tried running over his significant other with the same vehicle he used at the parade. He has proven time and time again he is a danger to himself and others; and has no redeeming social value.
With his record and what he was charged with he should have had the $5M bail placed on him for his last attempted murder. This article shows this Court Commissioner, Mr. Cornwall sent this person home after Brooks allegedly punched a woman, stealing her phone and running her over with the same SUV believed to have been used weeks later to cause carnage at a family-oriented holiday parade. He also had charges for another firearms felony pending an active warrant out of Nevada and a record of skipping bail. His own DA’s office said the bail was too light. He has an outstanding warrant!!! Mr. Cornwall should be sweeping a floor somewhere for a living, not in a position of responsibility. Before you speak about an article, please read the article first. $5K bail?!?!?! You obviously don’t know what you’re talking about.
